Terms of Use

Effective July 5, 2026 · toolsforstupidwizards.com

The short version: these are free, fan-made tools for personal, creative fun. They imitate games, apps, and brands that I don't own and can't give you rights to. Use them for personal projects, don't use them to trick, impersonate, or scam anyone, and understand that anything you make and post is your responsibility, not mine. If you own a brand or work shown here and want it removed, email me and I'll take it down.

1. Who runs this and what it is

Tools for Stupid Wizards ("the site," "I," "me") is a personal project operated by an individual creator in the United States. It offers small, free, browser-based tools that generate images (for example, a fake chat overlay or a mock review card). Every tool runs entirely in your browser. By using the site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. Personal, creative use only

These tools are meant for personal, non-commercial, creative use: memes, jokes, mockups, practice, and fun. They deliberately imitate the look of well-known games, apps, and websites so the images feel familiar. Because those looks, names, fonts, icons, and characters are owned by other companies, I cannot and do not grant you any license or right to use their intellectual property, and nothing on this site should be read as permission to do so. If you want to use a generated image commercially, or in any way that involves someone else's brand or copyrighted material, that is between you and the rights holder, and getting any needed permission is your responsibility.

3. Third-party names, brands, fonts, and designs

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any of the companies, games, platforms, or people it references. All third-party trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, fonts, icons, characters, and copyrighted designs are the property of their respective owners, and are referred to here only to describe what each tool imitates (nominative reference). This includes, without limitation:

  • Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios and Microsoft Corporation. This site is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
  • Slack is a trademark of Slack Technologies, LLC, a Salesforce company.
  • LinkedIn is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation, a Microsoft company.
  • Amazon is a trademark of Amazon.com, Inc.; Google and YouTube are trademarks of Google LLC. Review and thumbnail tools imitate these general styles.
  • Any personal names used to describe a visual style (for example, describing a "creator-style" thumbnail) are used only to identify that style, not to suggest any endorsement, partnership, or involvement by that person.

Some fonts and assets are used under their own open-source or commercial licenses; others imitate a recognizable style. If you believe any specific asset should not be here, see the takedown section below.

4. What you may not do

You agree not to use this site or anything you make with it to:

  • Impersonate a real person, company, or account, or pretend a fake message, review, or screenshot is genuine;
  • Deceive, defraud, scam, catfish, or mislead anyone, including posting fabricated reviews, testimonials, or messages as if they were real;
  • Harass, bully, threaten, defame, or damage the reputation of any person or organization;
  • Create content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that violates anyone's rights;
  • Infringe a third party's trademark, copyright, publicity, or privacy rights;
  • Break any law or regulation, including consumer-protection and false-advertising rules that govern fake reviews and endorsements.

Making an obviously-fake image for a video bit is very different from passing a fake off as real. Keep it in the first category.

5. Your content and your responsibility

Whatever you type and generate is created by you, on your own device, and I never see it or store it (see the Privacy Policy). You are solely responsible for the content you create and for how you use, publish, or distribute it. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold me harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising out of your use of the site or the images you make with it.

6. No warranty

The site and tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. I don't promise the tools are accurate, error-free, always available, or fit for any specific use.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or reputation, arising from your use of the site or the content you create. Since the site is free, my total liability to you for any claim is limited to zero dollars (USD $0).

8. This site's own materials

The original parts of this site, including its layout, code, wording, the "Tools for Stupid Wizards" name, the wizard mascot, and original artwork, belong to me. Please don't copy or rip the site itself. This does not apply to third-party material described in Section 3, which belongs to those owners.

9. Rights-holder takedown

I make these as a fan, not to step on anyone. If you are a rights holder (a company, a creator, or their representative) and you want a name, font, icon, design, image, or an entire tool removed or changed, contact me through the contact form or the Buy Me a Coffee page. Tell me what and where, and I will review and, where appropriate, remove or change it promptly and in good faith. I would rather fix it than fight about it.

10. Changes

I may add, change, or remove tools and update these Terms at any time. Meaningful changes will update the effective date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located there.

12. Not legal advice; contact

I'm a creator, not a lawyer, and these Terms are not legal advice to you. They describe how the site is meant to be used. Questions? Use the contact form.
